Our family’s legacy in real estate began in the late 1960s, when Randy Forbes Sr. started selling properties on the Westside and helped create the original Jon Douglas Company in Brentwood. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Randy Sr. was instrumental in transitioning the company into Prudential, and later Coldwell Banker, where he enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Los Angeles real estate history. Meanwhile, our mother, Didi, opened The Peter Lang Furniture Showroom at the Pacific Design Center, bringing over 30 years of interior design expertise to assist us with staging and design needs today. Randy Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps, beginning his real estate career in 1988 and partnering with Randy Sr. to become a top producer at Jon Douglas. The duo later transitioned to Prudential/John Aaroe, where they enjoyed another decade of success. In 2004, Diane left The Peter Lang Showroom to join Randy Jr. in real estate, bringing her unparalleled work ethic and design experience.

In 2008, Scott Gibson fulfilled his dream of opening Gibson International, a premier Westside luxury real estate office, in the same location where Randy Sr. launched Jon Douglas in 1980. Randy Jr. and Diane saw this as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter in their careers, joining Gibson International. The team has continued to grow with the addition of Diane’s son and daughter, Ryan Axelrod and Grace Halliburton.  A graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in economics, Ryan combines an understanding of client needs with a keen awareness of the ever-changing real estate market. He skillfully utilizes his business acumen and customer service expertise to provide personalized and strategic guidance on each transaction. Grace, a graduate of Georgetown McDonough School of Business, brings an innovative edge to the team. Her marketing degree and deep understanding of technology and social media ensure that clients stay ahead of industry trends.

After years of success in the highly competitive Westside market, the Forbes Halliburton Team is now part of Compass, following a strategic acquisition of several Los Angeles-area firms.
